Sachith Pathirana is an allrounder who bats in the middle order and bowls left-arm spin. A student of Trinity College, Kandy, he represented Kandy Under-23s and toured with the national U-17 and U-19 teams. He led Sri Lanka U-19s in the one-day tri-nation series against England and hosts Malaysia in January 2007 and was their leading allrounder at the 2008 U-19 World Cup, scoring 231 runs and taking ten wickets. One of his ambitions is to take up coaching some day.
