'Shaani', as Shan Masood is known, has represented Pakistan at both the Under-15 and Under-19 level. Masood cracked an 81 for Pakistan Under-19s in a one-dayer against Australia Under-19s in October 2007, and later that month scored a fifty for Karachi Whites on his first-class debut. In January 2008, he was appointed vice-captain of Pakistan U-19s for the World Cup in Malaysia.
